[mythtv] Problem viewing and with epg

Hi, I hope someone here can help me with this. I have previously had 0.7 
running on a computer, and decided to try the cvs/0.8 version (checked 
out on january 19 I think). Now I have the following problems, and I 
can't seem to figure out what's wrong. I've tried 
reinstalling/recompiling with several different setups to no avail.

1. When trying to watch live tv, mythfrontend just freezes for a few 
seconds, then seems to return to normal. If I then try to select live tv 
again, the frontend freezes and must be killes. Also if I exit after the 
first attempt (with Esc) I don't get the menu askin wheter to exit or 
not (and wheter to shut down the computer). If I restart mythfrontend 
again it freezes the first time I select live-tv.
The only way to get back to start is to kill mythbackend and restart it.

2. EPG does not find any program information at all, even though I can 
verify that there are entries in the database.

I hvae tried this as several users: mythbackend as root, mythfrontend as 
a normal user; both as a normal user and both as root. All with the same 
results.

Also, is the cvs server down? I can't seem to connect to it.


Any suggestions?
