[mythtv] Myth 0.7 wierdness

Hi,
Just having a bit of weirdness with MythTV 0.7. 

The sound works, but the video is all black whenever it's fullscreeen ("Watch TV" or "Watch a Recording"), even though the thumbnail preview plays the video fine. I've got xawtv working fine, and mythTV works fine otherwise.

I'm running Red Hat 8.0, using KDE (Kwin) and Alsa, using an ATI TV Wonder, SoundBlaster Live, and an Athlon processor.

My displays is 1280x1024 (24 bit color). Could that have anything to do with it?
