I still use HDPVR's,I am able to use fire wire channel changing,but I'm 
sure if my fire wire STB gives up, it will be a disaster for me. LIRC is 
a mess and no one is maintaining it, so that option is gone. I don't 
have the skill set to make it work. I think most people today are using 
ota,where I live the transmitters are nearly 50 miles away. It's also 
lots of hills and mountains. I have looked at Peters scripts,but they 
are way to technical for me. Maybe there's something new,and someone 
will chime in..
