There is no fast-forward in leanfront currently. You can change playback
speed to play faster with the menu or the playback control icons. It
would be possible to cause the remote forward skip button so that it
switches to a fast playback speed, of whatever speed you want, or
increasing speeds if you press it again. However there is no easy way to
do rewind. Compression formats are designed to be played forward and the
player code (Exoplayer) does not have any reverse capability. It would
have to do a series of small jumps to earlier times. I doubt it would
work satisfactorily.
