Hmm.  I still had the wiki/Recorded_table displayed, and see that my 
earlier claim that recordid references record(recordedid) was incorrect. 
  Dyslexia strikes again.  It's record(recordid)

And I'm glad that Dave, the OP,  seems to have a solution, although I 
can't say I understand why the recording rules need to be changed in his 
new system.
