[mythtv-users] Two new physical drives appear as subdirectories of the same drive: why?

I added a couple of 16 TB drives to my myth box and I am experiencing
something strange.
Preamble/setup:
I have a setup in which only one (fast) drive is used to record onto, and
then when this fills up its files are moved to other drives (cheap,
possibly shingled) which are added to myth as read-only storage. These two
drives were added as read-only storage and are currently empty.
In system status / machine status I normally see one block of lines like
this for each drive:
...
Mythtv drive #1:
Directory: box:/mnt/st8000b1/mythtv/recordings
7.2 TB total, etc etc
4 hours and 15 min remaining, etc
Mythtv drive #2:
Directory: box:/mnt/st8000c1/mythtv/recordings
7.2 TB total, etc etc
11 hours and 30 min remaining, etc
Mythtv drive #3:
Directory: box:/mnt/st8000d1/mythtv/recordings
7.2 TB total, etc etc
13 hours and 15 min remaining, etc
...
But now I also get the following very strange block, where the two new
drives are lumped together (whereas they are physically separate)
Mythtv drive #5:
Directories:
box:/mnt/wd18000c1/mythtv/recordings
box:/mnt/wd18000b1/mythtv/recordings
16 TB total, etc etc
5314 hours and 30 min remaining, etc
Why are these two partitions (on two physically distinct drives) listed as
if they were partitions of the same Mythtv drive #5?
Why do they total 16 TB instead of 32?
It looks like one has not registered properly.
If I go into mythtv setup they appear configured exactly the same as the
other data drives.
In /etc/fstab they are listed like this, again analogously to the other
data drives.
# Second 18 GB drive added, ATA WDC WD180EMFZ-11, 3WHEPTUJ
UUID=66d65ae1-4c6d-4560-8166-359baf86189c /mnt/wd18000b1 ext4 defaults 0 2
# Third 18 GB drive added, ATA WDC WD180EMFZ-11, 3WH9DP0J
UUID=d7721c91-eab4-4086-8d7a-1e81e64befce /mnt/wd18000c1 ext4 defaults 0 2
Any suggestions?
