Lately I have been playing around with what is available to run as a
frontend on android devices as I no longer use any type of pc for watching
tv.
Leanfront is really nice because it is such a small package and really
snappy. Picture quality looks good too. But I am a channel surfer so its
not really the best option for me.
Currently I am fine using Kodi with the mythtv pvr plugin. It does
everything I need and is fairly snappy. But Kodi is kind of bloated and
just feels heavy. And I only use it for watching tv.
Mythfrontend on android works, but it is slow.
I have plex with a lifetime pass. The dvr on it works fairly well, but its
not compatible with the mythtv backend.
And NOTHING beats the mythtv backend for scheduling and recording tv.
If plex ever has the option to work with the mythtv backend, then that
would be pretty awesome. I could use plex for everything.
I'm sure you have more important things to do with your time rather than
modify leanfront to do something that only a few people would appreciate.
But I really appreciate the offer.

Appreciate what you all do.
Thanks.
