I thought I had changed the owner of the log to mythtv when I installed the
override.conf, but here's what it is today
-rw-rw-r-- 1 syslog adm 2540 Feb 3 13:06 hdhr_discovery.log

Running as my user, 'jim', it works and leaves an entry in the log

jim at kubuntu-closet:/var/log/mythtv$ hdhomerun_check.py
jim at kubuntu-closet:/var/log/mythtv$

Running as user 'mythtv' fails. If I change the ownership of
hdhr_discovery.log, should it not stay that way??
