[mythtv-users] USB IR Blaster recommendations

I had some issues in the past with the FTDI (FT232R), but decided to give
the new FT232X chip a try.  My new one came in today (purchased from the
wiki linked vendor), but I'm still having no luck with FTDI based blasters.

I can get lirc to see the device, and IRSEND claims in syslog to be sending
out commands, but the STB is non-responsive and I can't capture any IR
output via my cell phone camera in night/sky mode (my old mceusb IR blaster
is able to be captured this way).

Any suggestions on settings to mess around with? I noticed some folks get
the ourput=2 while others output=3, neither have any effect for me.

My current suspicion is a bad LED or perhaps a miswired one.
