Actually you don't always have to do that, for those grabbers that
support multiple concurrent lineups in the same configuration
which can combine different lineups into one output. However,
there can be different "artifacts" if you are not aware of what
you are doing (i.e. you can easily break things or confuse
yourself).
You will likely want/need different videosources if you have
different tuners that can only receive different transmitters,
but if you have tuners (or perhaps an external recorder) that
can tune multiple different transmitters at the same time that
happen to be in different SD lineups at least some of the
grabbers can make that feed available.
