If you have the Menu button active there's a lipsync-adjust option.  I 
think that once set it applies to all frontend playback, so best not to 
tweak it too often.  I see a mild version of this catching-up with 
x86_64 when resuming playback during editing.  Corrections in VLC seem 
to be on a per-file basis.
