This is about the video library, so has nothing to do with mythfilldatabase.

Each file should exist in only one place in your video storage groups.
Even creating symlinks in order to create multiple ways of reaching the
same file is not supported (e.g. an alphabetic directory tree overlaid
with symlinked trees grouping your assets by actor, director, year, ...).

If you do end up in such a situation, whether through symlinks or
multiple physical copies of the same file (possibly with different
names), find all copies, delete all but one of them, move the
remaining-one out of the way (i.e. outside of your video storage
groups), scan in mythvideo so that it notices that the files have gone,
move the file back into the storage group, scan again.

I recommend that you do this on a file-by-file basis, because there is a
long-standing bug in mythvideo whereby if it finds multiple new files
during a scan and if there are multiple tvdb or moviedb hits it will
throw up the user prompts as it receives the tvdb/moviedb replies
without waiting for the user to actually select the correct entry. So
the purpose of my recommendation is that you ensure that mythvideo finds
only one new file during each scan, so that there can also only be one
prompt for you to select the correct set of metadata.

(Oh and it's "Anna Karenina").
