Does it work with recording schedules like a

I have not looked at MythNetVision before, but it looks as though it
is not being maintained at present. The URL it is using for PBS
videos (video.pbs.org) does not exist any more. From what I can see,
it does not download video content, it just selects the file you want
from the site, then streams and plays it. So it can not be used for
recording. And it appears to be a mythfrontend plugin, not anything
to do with mythbackend.

If you want to use MythTV for recording from Internet streams, that is
possible if the URL is a static one. But if it requires a URL that
changes, or the use of cookies to log in, then it is unlikely to work.
So if the URL looks something like this:

http://username:password@example.com/

followed by more URL giving the location of the video on the site,
then MythTV should be able to record from it. Here is the Wiki page
on how to set up things like that:

https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/User_Manual:Setting_up_HTTP_Live_Streaming_Recorder

I use this method to record from my SAT>IP DVB-S2 tuners.

If there are more complex login arrangements, then you would likely
need to write a custom external recorder that did the login and
started the stream:

https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ExternalRecorder

However, before you look at doing anything like that, you need to
check that the terms and conditions for the site allow you to do what
you want. Many services only allow you to play from the site in a
specific way (eg using their selected streaming program).
