My HDPVR always attaches to video0 on a reboot. Sometimes it hangs and I
restart just the HDPVR and then it connects to video1 which won't work
so I have to reboot.
jim at docbuntu:~$ dmesg | grep hdpvr

[    5.546501] hdpvr 2-1:1.0: firmware version 0x15 dated Jun 17 2010
09:26:53
[    5.766300] hdpvr 2-1:1.0: device now attached to video0
[    5.766418] usbcore: registered new interface driver hdpvr
[112457.065059] hdpvr 2-1:1.0: device video0 disconnected
[112465.619055] hdpvr 2-1:1.0: firmware version 0x15 dated Jun 17 2010
09:26:53
[112465.839094] hdpvr 2-1:1.0: device now attached to video1
jim at docbuntu:~$

I've worked out that I should use a udev rule to force it to attach to
video0.

Does anyone have a udev rule example for this use-case that they could
share?

And where to put it would be helpful too. I'm not at all familiar with
udev rules. Never done anything with them before.
