I find the panning judder on the pi with myth 29 unacceptable at 1280i. 
Version 30 pre is an improvement with the new sync mechanism and I find 
720i acceptable on a 32ins TV. Kodi gives perfect pictures at 1280 if 
you are ok with the interface. Using Rasbian out of the box with 256m 
screen memory and Steppes theme not suffering memory issues,

The Firestick 4K is a game changer with picture quality as good as 
Nvidia. It is not however currently reliable enough for production use,
