[mythtv-users] No new TV Guide since updating to Mythtv v29

Originally I thought this was the "tv_grab_au hanging" issue with rex again
however it appears to be running OK currently

Looking at crontab

43 * * * * nice /usr/bin/mythfilldatabase > /dev/null

however if I run

mythfilldatabase --only-update-guide

I get the error

/home/seven/.mythtv/hdhr.xmltv

2017-11-28 11:18:09.576099 N  Skipping Channel Updates
2017-11-28 11:18:09.576103 I  No programs found in data.

Looks like mythfilldatabase is expecting shepherd to output to <name of the
datasource>.xml now

if I run this manually I can now get data

mythfilldatabase --update --file --sourceid 4 --xmlfile
~/.shepherd/output.xmltv

Real question is this a config issue and what is the permanent fix?

should shepherd be setting the above in crontab or is there some config in
Mythtv I'm missing?
