Hi Mike!

I think Steve was either misunderstanding what I meant by using the
FF/REW keys, or not, implying I should be using the Z key option, which
as I mentioned in my reply to him gave me problems years ago and so I
got out of the habit of using.  Plus occasionally there is a commercial
worthy of watching.  :)

Ooo, sneaky! <g>

OK, found this: https://www.mythtv.org/wiki/Repairing_the_Seektable

How do I know if the Seektable is corrupted?  Sure, have the "unable to
skip forward/backward cor rectly" option.  Also not quite sure what a
'cutlist' is -- couldn't find anything I understood.  A little bit
concerned over the page's /*Note:*//After rebuilding the seektable, any
cutlist which has created for a recording will no longer be properly
synced and should be recreated. /

Admittedly being chicken -- just want to not make things worse. ...Now
off to check the database for crashed tables.  First, find.....

TIA!
Barry
