Next to the rwx setting for user(u), group(g) and world(o), there are
three other bits, The set user, set group and the sticky bit. In
binary view this is the first octed, with u, g and o being the second,
third and fourth. If you set the 'set user' and/or 'set group' bit on
a directory, any file created there will be owned by the user/group
owning the directory. The bit setting is:
set user = 4
set group = 2
sticky = 1 (not relevant here)
So a value of 6775 will make the directory rw to both user and group
and readable by world + it will force user and group ownership for any
new created file.
This will not work if you move or copy files, but it probably will
work if you directly download into that directory, as this is in a way
a new file creation.
