mythtv itself - no, but since it's based on linux, yes.
I've had a number of issues at a linux level surounding my mythtv setup. pretty much all down to hardware choice but some at a driver level (things like resuming my NUC FE from sleep - it doesnt like it). that turns into a usability issue and if your stubborn enough to want sleep/resume to work, rather than 5 seconds more for a cold boot from SSD, then your in for a hard time of trial & error finding a solution.
there are still some annoying bugs in livetv that could stop potential new users if they knew about it, or enough to become frustrated with it and dump it for another product. I know i've looked at other projects because of it. Issues like low-buffer stuttering on HD channels requiring a 2sec pause & play and vaapi/mpeg decoding when switching channels are two i encounter and reduce usability/WAF.
