[mythtv-users] Something I did/didn't do? Frontend display annoyances

Thomas,

First, I want to reiterate that these are truly nits I'm picking, rather
than showstoppers (although the help text examples might be another story),
but like the proverbial itch you can't scratch, they get to me after awhile.

Pictures take up too much room to include in posting, so I'll try putting
them in Google drive. If that doesn't work, I'll have to figure out again
how to put them in pastebin or something else. Let me know if Google drive
links are a problem.

Seems some of the menu problems I was thinking about may have gone by the
wayside recently when my 4:3 LCD monitor died and I replaced it with a 16:9
monitor. In any case, here are screenshots that show the ones I found after
a brief review of places I've been working recently.

Terra_1.4_Theme_Template.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMUENtendQTHZ3c1E> shows how I
expected the FE date/time to display in the bottom right, and you can see
that my system is not showing the year (overlaid with the time?) I'd have
to wait until afternoon to show the 24-hour time display, but the AM is not
present, so....

MythWelcome_Settings.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMMkRpRTY1NHRITnM> shows the
date format is different than what is displayed in any case (month and day
reversed). Changes to this setting have no effect on either MythWelcome or
MythFrontend screens.

MythWelcome.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMenFfUDVXaWxqbjA> provides a
clearer display of the date/time display.

MythFrontend_System_Status_Listings_Status.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMYXpQQ2luUkUzNUk> and
MythFrontend_System_Status_Machine_Status.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMR2FDQ3dKZXhKTHc> show status
data that runs off the right edge of the display rather than wrapping
around (and there is no horizontal scroll bar).

MythFrontend_Settings_General_Screen_8_Idle_Time_Help.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMWDB3UHZLR2k0NnM> shows the
help text for the "Idle time before entering standby mode" setting at the
bottom running out of room and getting chopped off.

Finally, MythFrontend_Settings_Video_General_Screen_2_Time_Retain_Help.png
<https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B33LPJoVt4ZMZUpubEgtSVNPOHM> shows the
same issue with the help text for the "Time to retain deleted recordings"
setting.
