I was going to suggest the 0.27.3 download, which is what I THINK I have on my iMac at home and cannot verify right now.  I think that has a front-end app that you can choose to run when you’d like to run it.  The only requirement is major version from what I read on the wiki.

Hopefully what you found will work out for you.  If not, maybe the 0.27.3 will work for you.  Good luck!
