The BOM is a bit higher (and would be additional real-estate on
the board itself, and another I/O port, all of which might be
problematic on some of nvidias designs), and nvidia would
then have to add software support for a niche request.  In any
case, with the exception of the nvidia Shield TV (which does
support CEC (at least at some level, I recall seeing some
reported issues with it (which is not surprising, CEC is an
"idea" not a formal standard, and each vendor uses extensions
that do not interoperate well)) nvidia is an add-on GPU vendor,
not a HTPC solution vendor.  If your HTPC solution vendor is
not providing CEC (or (C)IR receivers, etc.), you may need to
consider other solution vendors.
