Surely there are people using myth on ubuntu 16.04!!

Those errors about MySQL server disconnecting is a worry.

I saw that there's another possibility for database server in place of
MySQL: MariaDB

How is the compatibiliry between a MariaDB server and a MySQL client?

Any experiences?
