Is there a simple upgrade option for mythtv-0.27 in mint?

Mythbuntu ppa could be upgrade source for 0.27+fixes.. Mint gets a
mention.

You don't have to use XFCE/Xubuntu to use mythbuntu ppa. 

Lots of DVD playback improvements listed in release notes:

But unless you know how to backup (& restore!) the mythconverg database
& are proficient managing ppas & using synaptic etc, there is a lot that
can go badly wrong for potentially no gain.
