Not necessarily.  If the MythTV -> TV output is via HDMI and the STB
output is component, I was wondering if some of the softness you were
seeing was caused not by the HDPVR recording, but by your STB
component output.  In other words, if the STB does digital -> analog
and the HDPVR does analog -> digital, which of those two conversions
causes the softness (or is it a bit of both)?  Could it be that I
don't see that effect not because I'm different than you, but because
I have a different STB?
