[mythtv-users] Live TV occasionally pauses on its own, cannot un-pause

While watching Live TV, occasionally the front-end will pause on its own, and when I attempt to un-pause it, it goes to play and immediately goes back to being paused. The total time counter continues to count up, but the current position counter stays right where it is.
This is a separate backend-frontend setup. Originally, the backend was a combined backend/frontend. When the front-end ran on the backend, this NEVER happened even after hours of Live TV and me falling asleep in front of it. Currently, the only thing that changed on the combined backend/frontend is the front-end is no longer running on the backend.
The front-end now is a Zotac ZBOX running minimyth2, 2GB ram. It seems to run flawlessly, except for this of course. When it self-pauses, the CPU idle percentage is just about 100% on all four cores, and when the video is playing normally, it is just about the same. The playback profile is setup to use VDPAU, and that seems to be working properly. So, I’m not inclined to say it’s a processor issue.
In order to alleviate the issue only temporarily, I escape out of Live TV, then start Live TV playing again. It may play for a while just fine; it may self-pause soon thereafter. There doesn’t appear to be any rhyme or reason to it, and it’s not locking up the front-end or backend at all.
I’m in Chicago, IL with an antenna on my roof, so I get tons of signal and they are close, local towers. So, I’m not inclined to say it’s a lack of signal issue, especially since the current position counter continues to increment up.
The front-end and the backend are wire-connected via gigabit ethernet, and I have tested the connection between the two devices and speeds are appropriate and consistent.
The part that bothers me most is that I cannot un-pause it; it won’t go forward at all from that point. If I pause the Live TV on my own, it resumes just fine.
In the logs on the front-end, I have a lot of this:

The backend version details are as follows:

MythTV Branch : fixes/0.27
Network Protocol : 77
Library API : 0.27.20141016-1
QT Version : 4.8.5
The front-end version details are as follows:
Please attach all output as a file in bug reports.
MythTV Version : v0.27-232-g05dbcee-v7.6.13
MythTV Branch : 0.27
Network Protocol : 77
Library API : 0.27.20140323-1
QT Version : 4.8.5
Any ideas? I know the backend version is not as new as the front-end (from what the front-end builder/compiler states, and I haven’t upgraded the backend in a while), so if that’s potentially the problem, I’m game to upgrade it. However, I’m leaning toward something with the front-end, but I have no idea where else to look, and google searching for the log errors have not provided anything conclusive for solutions.
Mike
