I would have to (based on my own setup) disagree there, LiveTV for
example simply doesn't work 50% of the time for me with MythFrontend,
but works every time in KODI, which leads me to surmise that the method
by which the frontend talks to the backend is somehow done differently.

The one caveat there is that LiveTV from my PVR-250 never works, I have
to go in and schedule a recording then watch the recording, but I
understand that's a common issue with PVRs and LiveTV. Luckily only my
wife still watches LiveTV, so not a massive issue. I've managed, over
the last eight years, to brainwash / convince my kids into setting
programmes to record and watch them when they have time, my wife on the
other hand is more difficult to wean off the old "lets put the TV on and
see what there is to watch".

Cheers
Gordon
