[mythtv-users] Myth, Charter, Prime, no channels

I got a new HDHR prime, Charter cablecard with the tuner box and after 
spending a lot of time
, much of it on hold, I can't get any viewable content.
Charter says everything is set up correctly on their end.
The status listing ( tuner web page ) does not show problems.
The HDHomerun config GUI shows lots of channels, several with yellow in 
the top bar, but the view
function (VLC ) does not show any content or any familiar channel ID.
Scanning the channels results in just one channel and that is the screen 
for pay for view, ( I think ).
The input cable goes to a splitter which has one output going to the 
prime and the other goes to the supplied tuner box.
The RF out from the supplied tuner box is not connected to anything..

The rest of the system works fine when the HDHR OTA inputs on my 
original box are selected.
I think I'm missing something here and would appreciate any ideas.
