Michael,

I am just a mere user; I would recommend that you report this as a bug
(which a segmentation fault always is). One way of doing that is to
allow apport to automatically report the bug to mythbuntu on launchpad.
I am however not entirely sure whether the MythTV developers look at
Launchpad; I've just had a bunch of my bugs closed there (reported over
the years) as being out of date.

So probably the best is to follow the project's advice on how to report
bugs; please refer to
