You mean connecting your MythTV backend to your STB via ethernet or
USB and using it as if it was an HDHR or similar device?  I don't
think the software on the STB would support that.  If you're lucky,
you may be able to use either the ethernet or USB ports to do channel
changing, avoiding the need for an IR blaster, but generally digital
video capture over ethernet or USB won't be supported by a cable
company provided STB.  If you want to do something like that, I'd
suggest buying an HDHR Prime.
