Glad it is working for you.
It is *really* unfortunate that it can be so hard to get
(insert any cable company name here) to successfully
activate a CableCARD. TiVo used to have (may still
have) staff dedicated to be the middle people between
their customers and the cable operators since they
knew the language (and the special issues) of all
the providers. That that is necessary demonstrates
that things are not where they should be.
Not to worry, the (very very) long term plans of the
cable operators to move to CCAP and pure IP delivery
of content will eliminate the hassle of CableCARDs.
The only (small) problem is that there is no agreed
upon alternative to obtaining that content (the FCC
tried with AllVid, which is either dead or simply in a
drug induced coma, but one will not really know until
Mr. Schrödinger opens the box).
