Are you using the Qt paint engine? If so, don't. Set the paint engine
to Auto, and ensure your video drivers are properly installed/configured
and MythTV will use OpenGL--you'll see a message, "Using the OpenGL
painter," in the mythfrontend log file if you've configured things properly.
