I'm not a native speaker, so I may be misunderstanding something but I
understood the information from Kenni together with the information
from these instructions like this:

You set the modulation (QAM64) and symbolrate (6875000 symbols/s) by
running the following on the command line
hdhomerun_config FFFFFFFF set /sys/dvbc_modulation "a8qam64-6875"

Then you tell mythtv-setup to scan on a frequency (the modulation and
symbol rate being left open / on auto) and together with the network_id
setting all multiplexes are set up from that.
