I believe that the oldrecorded entry is made initially at the time the
recording is scheduled for being recorded. At that time, the "future"
flag will be set. When the recording commences, I believe the
recorded table (and recordedprogram table?) entries get set up and the
oldrecorded table "future" flag is cleared. I am not sure where the
season and episode fields come from as in New Zealand, we do not have
very good EPG sources and they do not often get anything in them. I
wonder if they are filled in as part of the metadata updating - if so,
I have metadata switched off so will not be getting them. In my
database, I do have a few season and episode entries in recorded. For
some of those, I can remember filling them in myself when I was
sorting out a series using an episode guide web page. Like you, all
my oldrecorded.series and oldrecorded.episode fields are 0.
