[mythtv-users] Audio output device definitions

Hi All.

When configuring audio in mythtv setup.  I see a lot of choices.
Is there a list of definitions of what each one does?

For myself.  Both ALSA:hw:CARD=NNidia,DEV=7 and ALSA:hdmi:CARD=NVidia,DEV=1
work and do not appear to make any difference with output.
But obviously something is different and I was just wondering if someone
could point to the differences or somehow explain them.
