OK the links are set-up:
daryl at daryl-A780L3C:~$ ls -l /dev/dvb/HP1250
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 Feb 28 07:29 demux0 -> ../adapter6/demux0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Feb 28 07:29 dvr0 -> ../adapter6/dvr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Feb 28 07:29 frontend0 -> ../adapter6/frontend0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Feb 28 07:29 net0 -> ../adapter6/net0
daryl at daryl-A780L3C:~$ ls -l /dev/dvb/PC800i
total 0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 18 Feb 28 07:29 demux0 -> ../adapter0/demux0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Feb 28 07:29 dvr0 -> ../adapter0/dvr0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 21 Feb 28 07:29 frontend0 -> ../adapter0/frontend0
lrwxrwxrwx 1 root root 16 Feb 28 07:29 net0 -> ../adapter0/net0
daryl at daryl-A780L3C:~$

But still when I go into the BE>CaptureCards, they will only present
as adapter0/6 frontend0, I can type the smylink name in, and the card
is not recognized or opened. IIRC Bill Meek said the symlink name
would present while toggling through the adapter line, that's not my
experience.  Daryl
