[mythtv-users] random livetv stalls

Well that's a bummer. I have been on myth since .20 and never had live tv
issues like others have reported. Guess it is my turn.
I already have 3 drives that have recording directories spread across them
so I do not think changing drives will do anything. The logs have reported
issues on all 3 drives.
After searching around a bit I have tried making some tweaks to
systcl.conf
kernel.shmall = 167772160
kernel.shmmax = 167772160
net.core.wmem_max=12582912
net.core.rmem_max=12582912
net.ipv4.tcp_rmem= 10240 87380 12582912
net.ipv4.tcp_wmem= 10240 87380 12582912
I will see if this makes a difference.
Strange thing is I can be recording 3 shows at once and never see issues
with lost recordings. So I don't believe it is a hard drive issue,
although I do not know enough about the way everything works to know if my
assumptions are correct.
I also tried changing the kernel i0 scheduler from deadline to noop. That
offered no improvement.
I do see this error around the time things start to go flaky.
E HDHRStreamHandler recorders/hdhrstreamhandler.cpp:206 (UpdateFilters)
HDHRSH(131968AB-2): UpdateFilters called in wrong tune mode
I wonder if the hdhr prime has something to do with it??
I was hoping that this could get this resolved as I am off on business soon
and the house sitter will have to deal with the locking issue.
Anyway, thank you for the suggestions. The search continues.
