Then if you ran both on the same machine, where does netspeed come in?

And about splitting frontend and backend. I started out with both on
one machine. Sometimes the frontend gets unstable needing a reboot. If
the backend is on the same machine recording, you can't and have to
wait, which can be annoying. I moved the backend to my fileserver,
that had surplus in power and is running fulltime anyway.
