You should keep all in perspective, your not running a high value
company server. But at the same time you should be aware of the risk
and take measures according to your situation. In normal home networks
the main risks come from internet through your router not from vandals
or criminals in your house. But at the same time if your having a big
party with a lot of people coming, your sensible to secure the
physical context. Most computer hacks are initiated by someone having
physical access or someone being careless with his or her passwords!
