I have a compaq dc7700p. It has a cap on the processor leading to a
bigger fan on the chassis. Also a fanless video card, which gets a bit
hot. So since the processor has more than enough power I don't use
vdpau. I have to come within a meter to hear it, which is mainly the
drive.
