I'm not sure if you'd define this successful.

I have 2 HVR-2250 cards in my mother's system. They replaced 2 PVR-500s
that died in a... well lets just say, "accident". Her complaint with
the new cards is that some times the recording 'echo or sound hollow'.

Picture wise, everything is fine. I've got 2 eBay PVR-500s coming tomorrow.

Out of habit, I compile my kernels for myth, making sure the Conexant
drivers are enabled.

Her MythBackend is running:

lsb_release -a

No LSB modules are available.
Distributor ID: Ubuntu
Description: Ubuntu 12.04.3 LTS
Release: 12.04
Codename: precise

The kernel version is:

uname -a

Linux mothers-myth.dd.inet 3.8.11-custom-3.8.11 #1 SMP Sun Jun 30
13:04:04 EDT 2013 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The firmware file I have is:

ll NX*
-rw-r--r-- 1 root root 4019072 Nov 9 09:37 NXP7164-2010-03-10.1.fw
