Is that the file you're trying to link to in mythtv-setup?

it doesn't work that way...

You need to provide a standard m3u playlist which will contain a link
to your HLS m3u8 stream.
it's all described in the wiki.

look into the sample file and add your stream there.

BTW: HLS recorder is back in mythtv master
