I tried installing the AMD display drivers from the AMD site, following
the instructions at
http://askubuntu.com/questions/124292/what-is-the-correct-way-to-install-ati-catalyst-video-drivers-fglrx
This did not fix the slow-motion video, however they messed up the video
aspect ratio, everything was stretched vertically, so I uninstalled
those again.

Anybody have any ideas?
