[mythtv-users] Main menu doesn't show till I click randomly on screen

an update looks like the Smolt update script:
 /usr/share/mythtv/hardwareprofile/sendProfile.py --submitOnly -a

is hanging and I can't delete profile, any ideas how to disable this?
