[mythtv-users] Move from Nvidia 220 to what card?

I have been using HDMI with a Nvidia 220 card for a couple of years 
quite nicely, but need to upgrade the card.
Looking for a good recommended Video card that works well all around.
VDPAU, lots of power, great picture, good price point......

I am in North America, as that seems to make a difference on rendering 
somehow.

Can anyone recommend a good card for Myth ( Fed17 ) that just works well?

Opinions and experience welcome.
