Ghosts and magic seems to be right. I remember in the 2011 thread I
had with JYA, he wondered why people manually futzed around with their
asound.conf file. The mythbuntu desktop is xfce, so I don;t have any
apps I can find that handle card choices etc. And again, why does card
1, device 9 work in the command line but not in the asound? It's smoke
and mirrors. I wanted to move to 12.04 so I could use .26 but if I had
known 'd still be futzing with this...
