     Back when I was dual booting with ext2 I allowed my wife to do this
so she could get to Windows without any "bother". Never had a problem.

     The "risk" here is grossly overblown, especially for a system that
isn't really supposed to have any state of it's own anyways. In the worst
case you put a standard image/install back on the machine.
