In theory, yes, you are correct.  The reality is not quite so useful.  
You say you are OTA only.  If you are in the USA, then my experience has 
been that most TV stations broadcasts (multiplex) contain only one 
channel (data stream) with content worth watching.  Finding content on 
more than one data stream within the same multiplex (channel) at the 
same time that is worth watching is a rare thing indeed.  It is unlikely 
that you will actually take advantage of the virtual tuners.  YMMV.
