Warpme,
     Thanks for the nice comments. As far as the preview is concerned 
Ihave only used the "-r" replace option to validate that it works. I do 
not think I even looked at the preview image. That may be because I am a 
fanatic about setting up my recording rules or inputting inetref numbers 
for all my shows, so I think they have screen shots.As Lossless Cut does 
not change the video encoding in anyway this may be an issue with the 
mkv container and the mythpreviewgen, but that is just a guess.

In this case I cannot help out.
