[mythtv-users] Transcode UK Terrestrial HD content.‏

A little help please. Still struggling.
I am unable to run mythtranscode on any HD content that I have recorded.My most recent attempt to ensure there wasn't a problem with my build was to.........

Clean install a Fedora 16 desktop and bring it up to the latest software level.
Install kernel-headers kernel-devel and gcc so that I could build and install the DVB tuner cards drivers.
I am using a TBS6284 DVBT2 card with the most recent driver (tbs-linux-drivers_v120521). 
Install the rpmfusion free and nonfree repositories.
Install xmltv and mythtv from rpm fusion.
Run mythtv-setup configure the card/storage/tuning etc.
Make a 5 minute scheduled recording of each of the four HD channels available to me on UK Terrestrial Freeview and one SD channel (from the Reigate transmitter if that makes a difference).
Confirm the recordings play OK in the mythfrontend.
Try to transcode through either the mythfrontend or directly on the command line and I am only able to successfully transcode the SD channel. The The HD channels fail with same symptoms as experienced previously.

Should I be able to transcode the HD content?
Is it possible I am doing something wrong?
Any suggestions as to how I might progress this?
